The Adams County Community Foundation, Inc. (ACCF) is a local nonprofit organization (501c3) that connects residents of Adams County, IN with causes they care about through coordinated investments and grant making.
By working as an advocate for the nonprofit sector and connecting residents and organizations across the county, ACCF enables a larger impact beyond what one individual nonprofit or donor can accomplish.
The ACCF is positioned to become the leading force for expanding philanthropy in our community!
Scholarships vs Grants
Some fund representatives like the idea of a scholarship fund to support a promising student while others wish to see
a grant fund to provide support to a nonprofit organization that makes an impact in our community.
2025 Troop and a Tour... For the Troops
"An Evening at the Swiss Heritage Village & Museum"
The ACCF recently sponsored the 23rd annual Boy and Girl Scout Troop and a Tour...For the Troops event at the Swiss Heritage Village and Museum in Berne. The Boy and Girl Scouts that attended the event enjoyed learning more about what life in Indiana was like in the 1800s.
Following the event, the ACCF purchased up to $500 worth of popcorn from the Boy Scouts and up to $500 worth of cookies from the Girl Scouts.
At the end of the event the cookies and popcorn purchased go to another troop! The ACCF wraps a 'thank you for your service' note around the treats and gives these to family members of Adams County's military active members. They send these to their active duty loved ones.
After cookies go on sale (mid-January), anyone with friends, family, or neighbors serving active duty in the military is welcome to stop by the Adams County Community Foundation to pick up popcorn or cookies to send to military members as a reminder of home!
